How it Works
1. Consultation:
We want to understand your business needs. Contact us, so that we can discuss them. The 1st hour is FREE.
2. Initial Set-Up:
If you are already using a copy of QuickBooks, we can skip this step. Otherwise:
We will need to set you up on our system with QuickBooks. If you are a start-up, that's no problem. We can establish your chart of accounts and perform the initial bookkeeping.
3. Information Transfer / Remote Access:
If we have set up your business on our version of QuickBooks, we will need to receive information from you so we can perform the bookkeeping. You can send us your documents by courier (USPS, FedEx, etc.), by E-mail or by toll-free Fax. Whatever works best for you is fine with us.
If we are using your version of QuickBooks, remote access is typically the most cost-effective way for us to do your bookkeeping. For ongoing work, we recommend utilizing the remote desktop feature of Microsoft XP, Microsoft XP Professional, Microsoft Vista, or Microsoft Windows 7, which provides data encryption and numerous security features to assure safety, while allowing us access to what we need to see to perform the work. Because your business information is on your PC, you can look at account balances or generate reports whenever you need to.
4. Ongoing Bookkeeping Work:
Once we receive your documents and/or remote access (depending on your agreement with us), we will make the necessary entries into your books and perform whatever services we have agreed to.
5. Delivery of Results:
When we are finished with an end product (e.g., financial statements), we will deliver these to you within your time requirements and agreed-upon method (e.g., e-mail).
If we are using your version of QuickBooks and performing bookkeeping on a remote basis, we may not need to deliver anything (unless you want us to generate reports for you), as your updated books reside on your PC.
